Uplifting the new brand message with new experiences

Following the launch of the new branding message Escape in Style, Citygate Outlets was on their journey to revamp their website to get in tune with the experience the brand long to offer. To do so, we took the lead in the design process to help the brand overcome inefficiencies and uncertainties which had shoppers escaped and turned for an exit in the original website. By defining key problems and goals, we have been able to pave way to successful rebranding.

Home to more than 150 international brands from around the world, Citygate Outlets is the largest shopping mall complex in Hong Kong. The challenge posed to us was what we could do for the business, its partners, and shoppers to offer a better experience under the new branding.

Shoppers at Citygate Outlets are more often deal hunters who are willing to splash decent amount of money when there is a good bargain. With the newly revamped website being all about enhancing shoppers' experiences, we wanted to make sure shoppers find value instantly from the latest promo and happenings section on the homepage to get them started with the Escape with Style journey.

All 150+ brands get their own stage to shine

Brands were offered a designated page under the Citygate Outlets website to highlight their distinctive features and style. Information about the brand was all synced up with Citygate Outlets IDD directory system to provide shoppers with a unified experience online and at the kiosks in the mall.

Mobile-first design development

With mobile, rather than desktop, making up the majority of website traffic these days, getting the responsive framework right is a crucial step in the design development for the Citygate Outlets website. Shoppers and travellers alike are now having a much easier time navigating the site thanks to the now simple, neat, and effective mobile layout.
